International Groundwater Modeling Course(August 31 to September 18, 2009)

The 4th international Training course on groundwater modeling was closed on September 18. The pictures below are taken at the closing ceremony held on September 18 at Dreamliner Hotel in Addis Ababa. Total numbers of 30 participants from 15 african countries, including Ethiopia, were taking part in this training.

Present situation of Water in Ethiopia

People use water from the pond. A woman fetching water from the pond People gather for water source
People have to travel long distance between their houses and the pond to transfer water There is no alternatives to mud water The water could be dried out in the dry season
